Merthyr Valleys Homes required a new website that was reflective of their organisation. But, before putting pen to paper on the blueprint of a new website, they were keen to understand what their stakeholders wanted from a well-designed, user friendly, website.
Millrace were commissioned to:
(a) Research, write, and design a questionnaire to identify the requirements of tenants and employees
(b) Run two focused workshops with the board and stakeholders
(c) Produce a recommendations document from (a) and (b)
(d) Write website copy for a newly designed website
Working with the Communications team, Millrace identified the internal “pain points” of the existing website, with a particular focus on functionality to avoid unnecessary admin.
Millrace then focussed on tenants and stakeholder by:
- Sending and collating questionnaires
- Facilitating two “Democratic Body & Board” meetings to further discuss the questionnaire results and requirements
- Collating a recommendation report
- Working with a web design team, assisting them with the structure of the build based on the findings of the consultation and new website copy.
Millrace produced 80 pages of website copy to fit with the core messages, tone, and direction of Merthyr Valleys Homes.
Merthyr Valleys Homes were able to confidently launch a new website safe in the knowledge that they had engaged with their stakeholders and tenants to produce a functional, communicative, easy to navigate, and adaptable website as a direct result.
